The title of this quick post is a little misleading. Yes, I am posting two trailers for you to check out, but they are both for the Coen brothers upcoming True Grit, which I had been looking forward to, but with these trailers has become by far my most anticipated film of the year. The combination of the Coens (who may be my favorite working directors), the cast (Jeff Bridges! Matt Damon! Josh Brolin!), and the subject matter/genre (WESTERNS!) make it look too good to be true. Plus, Roger Deakins cinematography looks as stunning here as it did in The Assassination of Jesse James three years ago. So, if you haven't already, watch the trailers and look forward to me writing a lot more about True Grit when it debuts around Christmas.
